John Buggenhagen

John Buggenhagen, Chief Executive Officer

John is an experienced and dynamic geophysicist with 20 years working knowledge of the industry. He is the former Director of Exploration for San Leon Energy in London, and former Exploration Manager Europe for Aspect Energy/Hungarian Horizon. John has also worked for ARCO Alaska as a Senior Exploration Geophysicist. In 2013, John was voted the second most influential person in Polish exploration behind George Soros and ahead of the Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in geophysics from the University of Arizona, a master’s degree in geophysics from the University of Wyoming, and a Ph.D. in geophysics also from the University of Wyoming.

Bob Schulz

Bob Schulz, Chief Operating Officer

Bob is a petroleum engineer by background with 20 years of international and domestic industry experience. When he first started in 1993, he worked for Schlumberger as a completion engineer. However in 1997 he accepted a position in Alaska working for ARCO as a reservoir engineer. From there, Bob spent 10 years with ARCO and its successor ConocoPhillips, where he was ultimately chosen to manage and lead the Investment Appraisal Group in China/SE Asia. Since then, Bob has served as Vice President of Business Development for Liberty Resources LLC, a leading operator in the Bakken Shale development, and as Asset Manager for Newfield Exploration Inc., the leading operator in Williston Basin Bakken Development.

He is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, and holds a Master of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines and a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from North Dakota State University.

Pawel Zuk

Paweł Żuk, Poland Country Manager

As of March 1, 2015 Paweł Żuk has taken over as Country Manager and will be leading Poland Operations for Palomar Natural Resources. He joined Palomar in October of 2014 as Senior Advisor with a focus on government relations and commercial management. Prior to accepting his role at Palomar, Pawel has worked for Hutton, and spent twelve years with Shell, where he managed large downstream business units in CEE and EU markets, designed and implemented integrated strategies, facilitated corporate relations, and optimized new business development opportunities in gas exploration and distribution. He has also worked for Texaco Corporation (now Chevron) leading Sales Development & Operations in Poland and Amoco (now BP) where he was part of commercial market entry team for Poland and CEE countries. In total, Pawel has had 20 diverse years of experience in the oil and gas industry.
